Lets say an influencer’s Instagram post receives:

  • 12 comments
  • 5 shares
  • 18.500 impressions
  • 9 clicks

Using average values (€0.10 per like, €0.50 per comment, €0.20 per share, €7 CPM and €0.50 per click) we get and EMV of €163.1

What is a good EMV?
A good EMV depends on your goals and platform. As a rule of thumb, an EMV higher than your influencer cost indicates a positive ROI.

How accurate is EMV?
EMV is an estimate based on ad-equivalent rates. It doesn’t replace full ROI analysis but provides a standardized benchmark for campaign comparison.

Can EMV be negative?
No. EMV measures earned exposure value, so it’s always positive. However, your campaign ROI can be negative if spend exceeds EMV.
